And Flaggy Rock
If you have been unfortunate enough to have to drive on the Bruce Highway between Rockhampton and Mackay, Clairview offers a brief respite from the tedium as the highway passes close to a view of the coast and the sea. And for the nearby railway line, it is one of two places on the 1680 km North Coast Line that the sea can actually be spotted.
It was at Clairview that railheads creeping towards each other from Mackay and Rockhampton finally met, in September 1921. The station facilities at Clairview would be best described as rather basic.
A couple of pictures of Flaggy Rock have been included, as it was not worth creating a page for only a couple of photos.
