Glen Geddes from 1994 and 1998. The small wooden station was one of the last survivors of the north coast stations. Once, military trains disgorged soldiers and equipment for the Shoalwater Bay warfare practice area, and some decades ago it is where the Bruce Highway deteriorated into a rutted goat track. Travellers used to leave their cars parked here for sometimes a few weeks, while taking the passenger services further north to avoid the horrors of the road.
