The Caves station as it was in 1992. There are also two images of The Caves and the attending station master, taken by Rennie Ellis in 1981 for the book “Railway Stations of Australia”.
The station stood derelict for a while, until around 1994 the building was shifted as a whole into the local state school and turned ninety degrees, where a distant view of the track is still possible from one window.
