This tidy location was once the junction station for the branch to Amiens. This 20 km spur was realy a tramway, as it was built under the tramway provisions in the Mining act. The Spur survived until 1974.
The Cottonvale station building no longer resides at its original location. It is preserved in the Southern Downs Steam Railway precinct in Warwick.
